CLASSES,  WORKSHOPS & PERFORMING TROUPES

The Ravishing Shangri-La Rubies have been running The Shangri-La School of Showgirls (SSOS) since 2013 - the first official burlesque school in Finland - offering a broad variety of burlesque education, although both TurrrboCherry and TinkerBell started teaching burlsque as early as 2009. The Rubies are a part of BurleskInstituutti, an organisation with the goal to offer quality burlesque education in Finland from burlesque professionals only.

 

Apart from weekly classes of burlesque and burlesque dance, The Shangri-La School of Showgirls has two own performing student troupes, The Shangri-La Showgirls and The Shangrilettes, for whom The Rubies design, choreograph and reahearse routines. New students are accepted at the beginning of each season, given that there is vacancies in the groups. SSOS also runs a season-long coaching course, helping solo artists and duo performers with the making of new acts. In addition to that, numerous workshops are held throughout the year with different themes, the most popular being the posing workshop "Strike A Pose & Keep The Posture!" SSOS also features workshops with other teachers from BurleskInstituutti as well as from visiting artists.

BACHELORETTE PARTIES/HEN PARTIES
Let us not forget about bachelorette parties! Tinker and Turrrbo have made that special day for hundreds of brides even more special by hosting hen/bachelorette party workshops ever since 2009 - among the very first in the country to do so. The class can be anything from an uptempo burlesque dance class to a slow workshop of tease and seduction, plus everything there in between, not to forget offering sparkly make-up and hairstyling services as well. Tinker Bell and TurrrboCherry are also body & mind fitness professionals, Tinker Bell has a certificate in teaching dance fitness and is a RYT200 Seasonal Yoga teacher. TurrrboCherry is a certified Peak Pilates Mat Teacher and Barre Move instructor.
